For the last few years we’ve found it to be a great way for SAS users to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, participate (or observe) a networking game, and have some pre-conference chatter. Being a TweetUp we also hope to provide twitter guidance for those new to the social network, and encourage twitter chatter amongst #sasusers at the conference and around the globe. Of course, for those who are unable to physically join the #SASGF15 #TweetUp, you can always join us on Twitter!

Flying into Dallas on Saturday, landing around 2128. What time are you likely to finish? Hope I’m not too late for a Tweetup beer, but I’ll be there in spirit! @hollandnumerics

Looking forward to joining #SASGF15 #TweetUp again. Disclosure: I have bought a few Twitter shares. May be I will get my short cut cowboy boots cleaned up a bit. Boot-scootin may be possible. I wonder where I am going to get a cowboy hat? I have purple Native hat from a Pow Wow. Our Air Canada planes arrive in the late afternoon. Another disclosure, nothing is booked yet.

Glad to hear you look forward to it Peter! Bring your purple Native hat and clean up your boots… look forward to a bit of boot-scootin’… Ooohhh you’ve given me an idea – we’ll offer another draw ticket to those who boot-scoot for a minute! ;-) P.S. Your shareholder disclosure – A vested interest in Twitter?

Hi Michelle & Trish – I’ll see you at the TweetUp, but not sure what state (pun!) I’ll be in – I’m staying in Melbourne for ANZAC Day Centenary dawn service Saturday morning, then I leave Sydney 1pm Saturday and fly 16 hours straight to Dallas arriving at 1pm Saturday. May need a drink or two to help recover from the jet lag..

Michelle, Akubra’s may not be a bad idea – I don’t know how us Aussies would look in 10 gallon hats!! (I’m actually disappearing on a one-man Texas – Colorado road-trip & state park hike straight after SGF, so I’ll probably need a decent hat..)

@Andrew – I suspect you would look VERY tall wearing a 10 gallon hat. Me, on the other hand, may gain some much needed height ;-)

Akubra sounds like it might be in order for your hike, or perhaps a cork hat?!?
